My Novels

I'm preparing to query the first of the three following novels! I began writing FLOWERS TO THE RAIN in 2011 and OPAL SKY in 2013. It took overcoming a long stint with depression and anxiety to finish revisions on both novels in 2025. I also wrote a brand-new novel, SO FAR AWAY, in the same year.

  • SO FAR AWAY: Speculative Adventure Fantasy (70k, standalone)
  • OPAL SKY: New Adult Dystopian Romance (70k, Book I of a trilogy)
  • FLOWERS TO THE RAIN: New Adult Romantic Suspense (83k, standalone)

The covers below are just for fun! I'm pursuing traditional publishing.

After two months of intensive group therapy, six individuals embark on a Thera Quest Inc. session—a simulated fantasy adventure guaranteed to incite lasting behavioral change in the real world. For thirty-year-old Elizatine, this means overcoming her beastly shopping addiction alongside five strangers with their own problems: Tanner and Lana, two middle-aged alcoholics; Amara, a young ambulatory wheelchair user with POTS mourning her loss of agency; Rowan, a thirty-something wracked by guilt from a childhood death, and Felix, a charming and depressed entertainer. The six must work alongside each other to deliver a cursed book while encountering whimsical hybrid creatures, unsettling personal trials, and hulking manifestations of their innermost demons.

Featuring a slow-burn romance and multiple POVs, SO FAR AWAY is a speculative adventure fantasy novel complete at 70,000 words.

Raised in a re-purposed mega-mall dedicated to housing the next generation of scholars after an apocalyptic event, 26-year-old poisons researcher and part-time alcoholic Susan “Suzi” Terje has her eyes on one resplendent prize: attaining Prudenhood, the highest level of academic recognition in the Pavilion. But when she crosses paths with an unusual Bilge Rat, the unintelligent and mute male workers who keep the dated cogs of the building running, Suzi is forced to question the veracity behind everything she holds dear—including her precious goal.

Thrust from a young age into the filthy underbelly of the Pavilion known to the Bilge Rats as The Nest, 23-year-old Guy and his personable rat buddies are all too familiar with servitude and suffering. So when Guy is caught staring wistfully at a beautiful Citizen, only to be met with a look of kindness and curiosity, a flame of rebellion ignites in his heart. Through a series of elaborate schemes, Suzi and Guy eventually find themselves alone at last—and the truth about the Pavilion, its inhabitants, and the outside world has only just begun to unfold.

OPAL SKY is a dual-POV story and complete at 70,000 words as part of a planned New Adult trilogy.

23-year-old Isabel Claremont methodically escaped the hell of her first relationship over a year ago, but she’s still running—quite literally—from her past. After cashing in on her unspoken bond with a fellow gym rat, a 39-year-old former Marine named Cliff Cawthorn, Isabel can’t help but fall for his playfully gruff personality. The beauty and the beast quickly bond over their mutual interest in fitness, firearms, and memes, but a chance encounter with an acquaintance from Isabel’s past puts her newfound freedom and happiness in jeopardy. A failed assassination attempt soon leaves Cliff facing an arduous recovery, and video evidence of the most horrific night of Isabel’s life comes crawling out into the world.

Together, Isabel and Cliff must unravel the truth about their attackers before it’s too late—because news of the incidents have brought old enemies out of the woodwork to finish the job.

FLOWERS TO THE RAIN is a standalone New Adult romantic suspense novel complete at 83,000 words.
